Question about req7 items - Page 2 - Guild Wars Forums

Gold Req 7's do drop, just not max ones that usually have crappy mods. Just the other day I was 55ing Gates of Kryta in normal mode (didn't realize I forgot to put HM on), and I got a gold req 7...non max fire staff.

To the OP, correct me people if I am wrong, I think it is still possible for max q7 golds to drop, they are just exceptionally rare-er then before.

They still drop but as always they are an extremely rare drop and even more rare to have a perfect internal mod.

Req 7 yes i found fellblade 15-22(blue)req7 11%in stance aweek ago outside war camp (farming summits) so yes i belive they still drop but in a low persantage.
Note

my 2nd req7 drop) first 1 was a white chaos axe in FOW and was 6-28 1 year ago.

i stand again that req7 max golds doesnt drop anymore since the hard mode update. i listed every single req7 weapon on guru and other trade forums using their merchant value and skin, an since april i havent found a single new req7 anywhere.
neither i've been able to farm any req7 in tyria since hard mode ( i used to find 2-3 a month before -now i find 2-3 req8 gold weapons doing the same farm i did for req7s- ), and none of the ppl in my friend list have dropped one.

say what u want as it's not in a game update changelog, i'm about 99.99% confident that req7 max items are out of the game, u'll never drop one again

As far as I know the Hard Mode update didn't change Normal Mode at all. Hard Mode was introduced as a whole new thing. In Nightfall and Hard Mode (Tyria/Factions/Elona) req.8 is the new req.7. But for the Normal Mode in Tyria and Factions I do believe req.7 can still drop although I didn't find proof yet, and I don't have the time to grind for them.

Prefect mod req7 did exist.I've got a req7 15^50 fds from trade a years ago

I'll admit, I haven't seen one for some time and the only r7 I own is a r7 Bladed Buckler, purple, +25 health. I paid 2k for it ^^ Used to have a white r7 brute sword a looong time ago.

Having said that I got a r6 command, armor 14, gold scarabshell aegis with +45/-2 in a stance the other day, which I was really pleased about. I got lots of gold r8 items way back when I used to farm prophecies - still have a couple of them too.

But r7? I haven't seen one drop for over 2 years now.

I know for a fact Tommy from QQ/iQ had a max req. 7 shield (I saw it) so they do exist. I heard they no longer drop though.

Lots of changes were made to Normal Mode when Hard Mode came out.

I have gotten only 1 req 7 drop and it was a gold req 7 15-22 14%>50 forked sword that I received 5 or 6 months ago. I still have it so later when I get home from work I'll post a pic, so at least there is proof they did in fact at 1 time exist.
